My Attempt
This is the second red lentil dish cooked in my Morphy Richards 3.5L Slow Cooker. This time, an Indian spiced dahl, from my current favourite slow cooker cookery book, Just 5 Ingredients. This slow cooker soup recipe is also included in 500 Slow Cooker Recipes by Sara Lewis (See my Book Review).
Slow Cooker Dahl with Spiced Cauliflower Recipe Review
Following this slow cooker red lentil dahl recipe was so easy! And made a well-spiced lentil soup. Just by cooking the red lentils in the slow cooker. Along with water, curry powder, salt and pepper. Set it on high for just 3 hours.
The recipe also includes a side dish of cauliflower. Fry on the hob onions, spices and lightly steamed cauliflower. All of which require little prep. The end result is a simple yet very tasty veggie main meal. This dish would also work well as a side dish with a spiced roast chicken.
The slow cooker is a perfect and easy way to cook lentils for a dahl. The end result gives a very comforting soup. And a smooth textured and gently spiced dahl.
